The Parting Glass [C] - Trad
Of [Am]a' the [F]money that [C]e'er I [G]had,
I [Am]spent it [F]in good [C]compa[G]ny.
And [Am]a' the [F]hairm that [C]e'er I've [G]done,
Al[Am]as it [F]wiz tae [C]nane but [Am]me.
And [C]a' I've done, for want o wit,
tae [Dm]memory now I [C]can't re[G]call.
Sae [Am]fill tae [F]me the [C]parting [G]glass,
good[Am]night and [F]joy be [C]with you [Am]all.
Of a' the comrades that e'er I had,
they're sorry for my going away.
And a' the sweethearts that e'er I had,
they'd wish me one more day tae stay.
But as it fals unto my lot,
that I should rise and you should not.
I'll gently rise and softly call
Good night and joy be to you all!
